Hosted by BGV Philly
Black Girl Ventures creates place-based initiatives to provide access to capital for Black women entrepreneurs. Their mission is to use entrepreneurship support and training as a vehicle for poverty alleviation and wealth building. Black women founders are underserved, unbanked and underfunded. It's time to change that!
BGV's signature event, the Black Girl Ventures Pitch Competition, flips the traditional pitch competition on its head: charging admittance at the door raises money for the donation fund. Then, in lieu of a panel of judges, BGV charges the audience to ask the tough questions and vote on the winners of the competition.
