This Event was Co-Hosted by ImpactPHL and CFA Society of Philadelphia

Learn how corporations are reshaping their business strategies, in reaction to the expansion of regulatory mandates for sustainability-related disclosures, growing concerns over climate change, and the political backlash against ESG.

If you own stock in a publicly traded company, you have the power to vote, by proxy, on these important shareholder proposals.  Look beyond the headlines and gain insights into the implications that voting trends are having on companies, boards, and governance teams.

Our panelists, Andrew Behar, Rachel Kahn-Troster, and Yusuf George will discuss what stakeholders are looking for in a company’s ESG disclosures as well as best practices for measuring and communicating progress about sustainable goals.

Andrew Behar

CEO of the shareholder advocacy and engagement organization As You Sow.  As You Sow advances values-aligned investing and uses shareholder power to compel companies to reduce material risk on issues including climate change; toxins in the food system; ocean plastics; diversity, equity, and inclusion; racial justice; and wage equity.  Andrew was recently named as one of the Purposeful 50.

Rachel Kahn-Troster

ICCR's Executive Vice President, working with faith and values-based investors to catalyze their assets for social change.  She serves as the primary internal manager for ICCR, and partners with the CEO in developing and implementing the organization's overall vision and strategy.  Before joining ICCR in 2021, Rachel spent nearly fourteen years at T'ruah: The Rabbinical Call for Human Rights.

Yusuf George

He began his career in the global capital markets division at Barclays Capital.
